In Need Of A Smoothing Product

Thursday 18 October 2012

I've been noticing that my hair has been tangling a lot lately (on wash days), especially where my texlaxed and relaxed hair textures meet. This makes wearing braid outs a big pain! because I know detangling the following wash day will be hard!

So I think I need to incorporate a product for my wash days that is aimed at smoothing down the hair which will hopefully lessen the tangles I face.

Anyone have any suggestions? All are welcome

  1. I also sometimes stay away from textured styles because of the detangling that inevitably follows lol.

For me, my DCs and my leave-ins do the most to help keep my hair detangled, as well as thoroughly detangling in sections (especially when stretching). Nexxus Humectress, ORS hair masque and Aussie Moist do a lot to detangle and smooth my hair. As for leave-ins, Rusk smoother leave-in and aloe vera juice/water help to close my cuticle and make my shed hair slip right out.

  2. Hi smoothing conditioners and creams has made detangling easier for me. I apply a smoothing dc or conditioner after my main dc and leave it in for 15mins and the results is Devine. I use Paul Brown Hawaii straight smoothing conditioner or biolage matrix smoothing dc. Also after rinsing the final dc out, I also apply in addition to my leave-in and serum, Frederick ferikah glossy smoothing cream. Trust me the smoothness and shine is amazing. Good luck

  3. I suggest purchasing some kind of serum. I was having a lot of trouble with my hair feeling tangled even after deep conditioning with heat for 30 mins - 1 hour. I had a bottle of Razac Polishing Gloss at the back of my product stash for a while that i recently found. It definitely made a big difference whether I was air drying or attempting a rollerset.
