1 Week Post Relaxer - Wash Day

Wednesday 19 December 2012

Hey everyone!
Do you ever plan your wash days in your head? To find when you actually do your wash day its completely different to how you planned? Well that was the case today.

I originally planned to pre-poo, shampoo, deep condition and then end my wash day with a rollerset.

BUT! I moved back home from university and silly me forgot my hooded dryer! I was so upset!! I was having a little tantrum in the car when we hit the motorway which was when I realised I left it back in my university house! Darn it, my friend is still at the house so she kindly agreed to drop it off my house woo!

So for this weeks wash day I...
1) Deep conditioned on dry hair overnight
Matrix conditioning balm, Nexxus Keraphix, roux porosity control, grapeseed and sweet almond oil
2) Shampooed
Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Shampoo + ORS Aloe Shampoo
(There was no reason special behind picking these shampoos)
3) Quick Treatment with Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Daily Treatment
4) Final rinse with cool water

I then t-shirt dried my hair for a few minutes,
applied my leave ins
Paul Mitchell Awaphui Moisture Mist, Chi Keratin Mist, Nioxin Thermal Bliss, Redken Smooth Down Glide and Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum.

Have you guessed what I'm doing to my hair yet?...

...Straightening!

I left my hair to airdry, when my hair was about 80% dry, I blowdried on a low warm setting and then I straightened my hair on 190°C.

(My straighteners are the FHI Heat Platform, if anyone was wondering)

(Blowdried)

My hair came out great, it feels very soft and it's flowly (which I love)
I'm in need of a trim/mini cut, but I don't know whether to do it myself or go hairdressers
I've made the decision to go direct heat free for the next 6 months!
Lets hope I stick to it :)

  1. You hair looks so lovely and thick!
If you want a trim doing it yourself isn't actually that hard, especially with your hair being as long as it is. I use this method: http://feyeselftrim.livejournal.com/1827.html#cutid1 or get someone I trust to cut it for me :)
